About us
The Centre d’Appui Familial is the result of the amalgamation in 2018 of two organizations: the SPEFSA (Société de la Petite Enfance et de la Famille du Sud de l’Alberta) and the CRF (Centre de Ressources Francothèque).
Our name has changed, but our commitment to supporting the development and well-being of francophone, francophile and exogamous families of all cultural origins in southern Alberta remains the same.
As of April 1, 2020, we have become a Family Resource Center. In addition to our regular programming, families will now have access to a wider range of services for children aged 0 to 18, as well as support, prevention and early intervention services. Our services will focus primarily on strengthening parenting skills, social support, coping skills, problem-solving, access to community resources, enhancing knowledge of child and youth development, building resilience and promoting well-being.
